WWE Great American Bash Countdown Pre-Show (7/12/25)

Your hosts, Megan Morant and Sam Roberts, go over today’s match lineup.

A video package airs highlighting the Men’s North American Title Match.

We take a look at Jasper Troy and Je’Von Evans ahead of their match.

Blake Howard interviews Jasper Troy.

Blake asks about Jasper’s journey to WWE. Jasper says he doesn’t like talking about his past, but he’s always loved physical contact. He recalls a moment playing football at Kansas when he kicked someone, stood over him, and wanted to smash his head into the turf. That’s the same mindset he’s bringing to WWE. He’s fine leaving a trail of bodies behind.

When asked what winning LFG means to him, Jasper says he was inspired by Booker T, Bubba Ray Dudley, and The Undertaker. They taught him to take advantage of every opportunity. He’s not here to make friends—he’s here to conquer.

On moving from his feud with Oba Femi to facing Je’Von Evans, Jasper says Je’Von grew up in a structured environment, while he didn’t have that. Jasper says he had to create his own path and Evans won’t be making jokes at his expense. Asked about Je’Von’s in-ring style and how to prepare for him, Jasper admits Evans is talented but insists he can’t go toe-to-toe with him. He says he’ll swat Je’Von and drive him into the mat. Jasper declares the future of NXT belongs to him. He closes by saying he’s putting everyone down. He plans to test just how “bouncy” Je’Von is. Jasper says he is the truth—and the world is about to find out.

We go to footage from after NXT, where Josh talks to Inamura.

Josh tells Inamura they’ve got Oba right where they want him. He says he’ll do anything to help Inamura and asks why he seems upset—this is the biggest match of his career. Inamura says he wasn’t trying to hurt Oba. He wants to fight him with honor. Josh says he understands, but this isn’t about honor. It’s about becoming a national hero in Japan by winning the title. He promises they’ll make sure that happens.

We then shift to a video package for the Women’s North American Title match.

Kelly Kincaid interviews Izzi Dame, who’s joined by Tatum Paxley. Kelly asks how their friendship started. Izzi says she saw herself in Tatum—lost and alone. She explains that Spears gave her direction, and now she wants to do the same for Tatum. Tatum says she’s happy to finally have a real friend. Izzi is the first person who genuinely wanted to be her friend. Everyone else has disappeared. She says this is the closest she’s felt to having a family.

Izzi credits Tatum for helping her get her first title match. Kelly then brings up Sol Ruca and Zaria and asks Tatum how she feels about them. Tatum says she and Izzi have both done bad things in the past, but that doesn’t mean they have to be nice to everyone. She says she never felt like she belonged with Zaria and Sol and was treated like a third wheel. But with Izzi, she feels valued. Izzi reminds her of everything Sol and Zaria have done, saying Tatum doesn’t need friendships like that. When asked about Sol, Izzi says she better bring her best because no one has been hotter in the ring lately than her. Izzi says she’s not stopping until she’s the North American Champion. Tatum closes by saying she knows her new friend is walking out with the title.

We take a look at the situation surrounding the TNA contract signing, setting the stage for what’s to come.

A video package airs highlighting the upcoming tag team match.

Megan mentions that tonight’s show will start with Jasper Troy vs. Je’Von Evans.

A video package then airs, focusing on the tag team match.

Backstage, Kelly Kincaid interviews Fatal Influence. Jacy Jayne arrives first and tells Kelly they can start the interview without the others.Kelly asks Jacy about this being the biggest weekend of her career with matches at both the Great American Bash and Evolution.

Jacy says Jordynne Grace and Blake Howard aren’t a real team—they’re just two singles stars thrown together. She says Fatal Influence is a true unit, and Blake will find out that there are levels to this. According to Jacy, “Blake says she’s the next champion, but her partner and everyone else is saying the same thing. I’m already the champion—and I’ll stay the champion.”

Kelly brings up the trust issues the group had over the past year. Jacy says they’ve always aimed to win championships and shape the division. Now, a year later, Fallon has the North American Title and she’s the World Champion. She says they’ll do whatever it takes to win the tag match on Saturday and for her to retain on Sunday.

When asked about her early days in Toxic Attraction and where her mindset is now, Jacy says she always knew she was meant for this role—even when fans didn’t believe it. She says she joined with Fallon and helped bring Jazmyn back from irrelevance. Now, she heads into the biggest weekend in women’s wrestling as champion.

Kelly then asks about her mindset going into Evolution as NXT Women’s Champion. Jacy says people doubted she could be champion at Evolution. “I’m tired of being called the most beatable champion. Like, how could I beat Stephanie Vaquer and Lainey Reid? Well, I did.” Fallon and Jazmyn arrive, and Jacy abruptly ends the interview. “That’s enough. Interview’s over.”
